Project Description
DKMB & Associates was contracted by The Govans Economic Management Senate (GEMS) to provide overall design & construction Program/Project Management Services for the development of a neighborhood community center. DKMB & Associates was responsible for developing project goals and objectives, identifying requirements, reviewing project delivery strategies, tailoring procedures for communication and documentation, monitoring master and detailed project schedules developed by the General Contractor, and producing and maintaining detailed budgets. In addition, DKMB & Associates was responsible for interacting with project staff, representatives, engineers, architects, construction inspectors, financial institutions, and city & state representatives. Further, DKMB & Associates was responsible for providing technical analysis of A/E and GC proposals, reviewing contract modifications, change order requests, resolving related disputes and/or claims, evaluating contractor performance, reviewing & approving GC payment requisitions, and ensuring that the contractor's payment was processed within a timely fashion per the requirements of the contract.
